Our Story

Founded in 2020, The Gaia Project is an organization dedicated to providing equal opportunities for women in workspaces around the world. We believe that fostering a more inclusive workspace is crucial for sustainable business growth.

The entrepreneurial landscape currently demonstrates significant underrepresentation of women founders. By raising awareness for gender equity, creating spaces for collaboration, and enhancing the visibility of female leaders, we offer tailored resources and support to empower female entrepreneurs to thrive and reshape the business landscape worldwide.

Our Name

"The Gaia Project" takes its name from the Earth goddess Gaia. In ancient Greek, "Gaia: Γαῖα" is a poetic expression of the Earth. The Earth goddess Gaia is the embodiment of nature, the mother of life, and the soul of the Earth.

Our Mission

We are committed to fostering the global landscape for women entrepreneurs. By providing business incubation and legal consultation, amplifying traditionally underrepresented voices, and enhancing women's access to diverse resources, we empower these voices to become pivotal players in the startup ecosystem.

Our Vision

We aim to enhance diversity and equity in all sectors and to reshape the landscape of funding across industries. One of our specific goals is to increase the proportion of venture capital funding for startups led by women and gender nonbinary individuals to at least 30%, a significant rise from the current 2% in 2024.
